Advisory services for forestry in Austria

Awareness raising and public-relations work in forestry matters provide information about the economic, ecological and social effects and services of forests. By means of targeted advisory services for forest owners, the positive attitude of people towards forests is to be enhanced, thus leading to a consistent, ecologically sound and economic form of forest management. These forest management groups are to help improve the value added from their members’ forest ownership and consequently to secure their incomes.
